The season turns and the living room needs something, but it is not obvious whether the lamp or the sofa should go first. This 30-page Karwei book lays its contents out in six collections, Natural Living, Bohemian, Retro Chic, Mooimakers van nu, vtwonen and the Theo-Bert Pot range, split across furniture, accessories and lighting, and runs to 31 December 2026.

Turning the pages, every item carries two prices: the standard one above and a member price in a grey box below. The point is that this discount is not a single rate. The rowin taupe armchair is 449,00 euro against a member price of 359,20, which is twenty per cent off. The WOOOD Ervin storage cabinet at 130 by 110 by 40 cm is 479,00 against 383,20, also twenty. The lighting pages behave differently. The KARWEI Saar pendant is 59,99 against a member price of 41,99, which is thirty per cent. The KARWEI Evi pendant, two lights at 61 cm diameter, is 89,99 against 62,99, also thirty. The KARWEI Rae dimmable ceiling light is 69,99 against 52,49, twenty-five per cent, and the Evi ceiling light at 39 by 22 cm is 44,99 against 33,74, also twenty-five. The sum is therefore member price divided by standard price for the specific item, worked out before you multiply it across the trip you are planning. A 449 euro chair saves 89,80 while a 59,99 lamp saves only 18,00, yet the lamp is the larger proportion.

The three items the store page singles out each represent a different size of change:

• Theo-Bert Pot vaas, € 31,49. A vase is the smallest and most reversible move: nothing to carry, nothing to wire, and if it does not sit right it goes somewhere else. It suits anyone still deciding on a direction who wants to try one colour or material first. This piece belongs to the separately listed designer range in the book, so its look is fairly defined; judge it against the colour of the table it will stand on rather than against the room in the picture.
• Lampvoet Sara Hout, € 41,99. A lamp base is a middling change: it noticeably alters the light and the height of one corner while remaining something you can pick up and move. Note that some lighting tiles in the book state excl. lichtbron, as the Saar pendant does, meaning the bulb is bought separately. Budget the bulb and choose its colour temperature at the same time, or the light at home will not be the light in the photograph.
• Kussen Bloem, € 24,99. A cushion is the cheapest of the three and the easiest to buy several of, which makes it the natural way to repeat the colour of a new lamp or vase across the sofa. Be aware that many of the cushions and textiles in the book are given with dimensions but no filling material, so anyone particular about firmness has to handle one in the shop.

One point deserves to be stated plainly: the interior scenes in this book carry the line Dit beeld is door AI gegenereerd in the corner, meaning Karwei itself labels them as AI-generated. That is genuinely useful to know. Those images can be read for proportion and styling direction, but not for the real texture of a fabric, the grain of a wood or the exact colour. If colour matters, the only reliable route is still the physical item or a sample in the shop.

Worth noting: this book runs to 31 December, more than three months, during which stock can sell out or be replaced, and the flyer gives no stock per branch. The cheaper accessories can be bought on impulse; furniture and lighting are worth measuring first. Every item prints its centimetres, such as the wall decoration at 70 by 50 by 2,5 cm and the ceramic candle holder at 14 by 7,5 cm diameter, so hold those against your own wall and table before deciding whether the membership card pays.
