What you need to know

Open this 16-page non-food flyer on Wednesday morning, with the corner flash reading Vanaf woensdag 23.09, and it closes on Sunday 27 September. It runs from power tools and candles through rainwear to blood pressure monitors and a rollator, the kind of booklet that turns up several times a year with entirely different contents each time.

The thing to understand first is how the discounts are written, because two baselines are used and they often sit on the same page. The first is the shop’s own former price: a CRIVIT unisex rain jacket at 12,99 euro against 14,99, flashed at minus 35 per cent; CRIVIT unisex rain trousers at 9,99 against 11,99, minus 17; a sanitas SFT79 multifunction thermometer at 11,99 against 14,99, minus 20; a posture corrector at 6,99 against 8,99, minus 22. The second carries a hash mark, defined in the footer as the price advised by the manufacturer: a folding rollator at 99 euro against an advised 249, a RIDDER grab handle at 9,99 against an advised 29,95, a 538 gram Yankee Candle at 12,99 against an advised 22,99, and a Puma men’s hoodie or joggers at 26,99 against an advised 44,95. The first says how far this shop cut its own price. The second says how far the price sits below what the manufacturer suggests, which is not necessarily what any shop actually charges. So the sum differs: against a former price, one minus the offer price divided by the former price is the real cut; against an advised price, look up what the same item costs elsewhere today and run the sum again with that number in place of the advised one.

The issue divides into three blocks by use:

  • Tools and kitchen appliances: a PARKSIDE 20 V cordless impact wrench at 49,99 euro against a former 59,99, minus 17 per cent, with the page listing a 4 Ah battery and fast charger included, a maximum torque of 400 Nm and up to 3.000 rpm, and printing a rating of 4.5 out of 5 from 128 reviews dated 9 September 2026, which is an unusually specific claim for a flyer because it carries both a sample size and a date. A SILVERCREST double airfryer is 59,99 against a former 71,99, and a piston coffee machine at 79,99 against 99,99 is marked as available only on lidl.nl.
  • Candles and home: LIVARNO rustic pillar candles are shown from 1,29 euro, with small print stating that offer prices vary between 1,29 and 2,29. LIVARNO tealights are also written as from, at 1,99 euro for 30 and 3,79 for 100. Put side by side those two figures are a ready-made sum: about 0,066 euro each against about 0,038, so the large box is roughly forty per cent cheaper per light, provided a hundred tealights genuinely get burned within the year.
  • Care and rainwear: a sanitas wrist blood pressure monitor at 14,99 euro with a risk indicator and batteries included, RIDDER senior aids at 2,99 each, and a folding rollator with a seat height of 54 cm weighing 8 kg. The rain jacket tile states a water column resistance of 3.000 mm and the trousers are given in sizes S to XL. For anyone buying on behalf of an older relative, the dimensions and the weight matter more here than the price.

One easily missed detail: several tiles are marked Ook online or Alleen op lidl.nl, meaning that item is an online purchase rather than a shelf one. Online orders carry delivery separately, so the shelf price and the delivered price are not the same number for the same object.

Worth noting: the flyer gives no stock per branch, non-food in Dutch supermarkets usually arrives as one delivery and is gone when it is gone, and this issue runs only five days. If you actually want a specific item, the first two days give much better odds. If you are only comparing, find the hash mark first and let that decide whether the trip is worth making.
