Tutankhamun immersive in Brussels: the family pass is 16 euro a head, and only wins with two adults

The exhibition sits in Terminal 1, a ten-thousand square metre venue inside Brussels Expo built for immersive work. It runs in three parts: a projection hall eight metres high running 360 degrees, a seated virtual-reality sequence plus a walk through a virtual Valley of the Kings, and a room of high-quality replicas alongside original pieces brought directly from Cairo, among them shabtis, statuettes and vases. Two other lines are worth reading before you book. The Pharaoh Pack is 26,00 above the adult ticket, and what that buys is a tote bag, a mug, a lanyard with a card, a magnet, a brochure and a digital photo pack, so the question is whether you will actually use the mug. The group pass at 22,00 undercuts the adult ticket by exactly 1,00, which is 5,00 across five adults and rarely worth assembling a group for. One thing can waste a trip: the VR headsets are for ages five and up, and under-eighteens must be accompanied by an adult. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
