Pure Markt's Sunday stop: Amstelpark's turn

Pure Markt has no fixed home; it rotates through three Amsterdam parks on chosen Sundays, and on 9 August it lands in Amstelpark, a green stretch beside the Amstel river close to Amsterdam RAI. Founder Trienet Kroon set up the market in 2008 with a simple filter: only small businesses built around honest, natural products get a stall, so there is no room for bulk resellers, and walking the rows feels closer to meeting a community of makers than doing normal shopping. Amstelpark itself is full of lawns, mature trees and benches, so picnics and market browsing tend to blend together, which makes the free Sunday a natural fit for families with a blanket and no fixed schedule.
