This is not a normal IND desk appointment: approved students receive an institution-specific link and colour-coded entrance so large numbers of residence cards can be collected at Jaarbeurs.
What you need to know
Students starting in autumn whose residence application is approved can book 29 August or 19 September at the Beatrix Building in Utrecht. Wait for the university or hogeschool message instead of booking a normal desk slot.
- The planner asks for “IND Utrecht Student Verblijfsdocument” and a red, yellow, green or blue code. The colour directs the correct entrance, while the appointment code may be shown digitally.
- Jaarbeursplein 6 is beside Utrecht Centraal. IND defines on time as within 15 minutes before the appointment and asks people not to arrive much earlier. A passport is mandatory for release of the card.
- If the IND still lacks a photo, fingerprints or signature, book biometrics first, wait 24 hours after making that booking and only then book collection. Do not act before the institution sends the instruction.
Hokimi field note: Keep the institution email, appointment code, colour and passport checklist in one phone folder with offline screenshots. The common failure is the wrong entrance or missing original, not finding Utrecht.
