Around the summer holiday, childcare hours, BSO schedules or providers often change. Belastingdienst explains that childcare changes should usually be reported within four weeks for kinderopvangtoeslag.

• When and where: for Dutch kinderopvangtoeslag accounts whenever childcare hours, provider or costs change.
• Cost and conditions: updating details is free; the benefit amount is recalculated based on hours, income, provider and hourly cost.
• Good for: parents whose children return from holiday care to BSO, change provider, reduce hours or start care for a sibling.
• Before updating: collect the provider LRK number, hours, hourly rate and change date before opening Mijn Toeslagen.
