Childcare hours: official details
What you need to know
Around the summer holiday, childcare hours, BSO schedules or providers often change. Belastingdienst explains that childcare changes should usually be reported within four weeks for kinderopvangtoeslag.
- When and where: for Dutch kinderopvangtoeslag accounts whenever childcare hours, provider or costs change.
- Cost and conditions: updating details is free; the benefit amount is recalculated based on hours, income, provider and hourly cost.
- Good for: parents whose children return from holiday care to BSO, change provider, reduce hours or start care for a sibling.
- Before updating: collect the provider LRK number, hours, hourly rate and change date before opening Mijn Toeslagen.
Hokimi field note: Compare the contract with the first new invoice so you catch incorrect hours or rates early.
