Checked on 2 September 2026, the same Four Seasons candlelight programme has dates at all of these: the Laurenskerk in Rotterdam from EUR 23,50, the Martinikerk in Groningen from EUR 24,50, the Koninklijk Theater Tuschinski in Amsterdam from EUR 26,00, and the Rijksmuseum van Oudheden in Leiden at EUR 38,00. First, what those several prices inside one concert actually are. The 23,50, 24,00, 32,00, 40,00 and 48,00 on the page are not five different concerts; they are five seating zones, and the cheapest is labelled Zone E. So "from EUR 23,50" means the back zone, not a free choice of seat. That is easy to misread if you have not opened the seating map before checkout.

Then the cross-city sum, which only works because the country is small. Take the starting price where you live, subtract the starting price in another city you would travel to, and hold the difference against a return train fare to that city. If the gap beats the fare, the trip is worth it; if not, stay local. Between Leiden and Rotterdam, for instance, the gap is EUR 14,50, and a return between those two runs at roughly that order, so it comes out close to a wash.
